In April 2015 a friend drove me to this property as he was interested in purchasing the lot next door. When I saw the famous rock arch I immediately conjured the Italian seaside of Cinque Terra. I purchased on the spot!
As construction began for then limit of 3 levels, I questioned the foundation height by standing on the rough concrete block. Mentioned to contractor that if we added 3 more blocks the first level would afford sea views. Indeed we added. This along with instructions to incorporate rough plumbing and electrical to ground level.
We only build 2 levels back then of 4 very large units of 3 bedrooms, 2 baths.
7 years later in 2022 the height limits were raised. It now allowed 4 levels. 8 more one bedroom one bath units were added. Along with a very large 360° view rooftop, bar, bano and bodega. LunaSea was born. Rumor has it that 5, 6, and up to 7 levels are permissible. If so, at minimum half of these projected units would offer stellar ocean views! The number one amenity sought by Tulum buyers.
As a long retired California attorney I have spent many years with various charities. The past 14 I’ve been deeply involved with KKIS (Keep Kids in School). We provide school supplies, scholarships, English classes and more to the poorest schools in the region. Education is the future.
There is another charity I’m moved by. Pencils of Promise. This organization has build over 600 schools in the poorest areas of the planet from the ground up. Roughly $35K per. The founders story is epic. As is his very famous brother.
The plan now is to fund 30 schools with profits from LunaSea sale. $1M plus. And we won’t stop there.
